The Company

 

U.S. Financial Technology (U.S. Fin Tech) is seeking an experienced Senior Data and AI Engineer to architect, implement, and manage enterprise-grade AI solutions including governance frameworks, guardrails development, and observability solutions. This is a full-time remote opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Job Information

The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on expertise in data/AI development, agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP) as well as AI governance, observability platforms, and popular AI tools for governance. This role will drive the adoption of best practices in responsible AI, ensuring transparency, compliance, and robust oversight across all AI and data initiatives.

 

Key Job Functions

  • AI Governance Framework Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive AI governance frameworks, development of guardrails for risk mitigations, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies. 
  • Framework Expertise: Design and deploy AI solutions using leading frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and n8n for scalable agent orchestration, workflow automation, and integration with business systems  
  • Observability and Monitoring: Architect and deploy observability solutions for AI systems, leveraging leading platforms , and AWS services to enable real-time monitoring, anomaly detection, and performance optimization. 
  • Popular AI Governance Tools: Utilize and integrate advanced AI and Data governance tools (e.g., LangSmith, Microsoft Purview, Weights & Biases, Dataiku) to automate policy enforcement, risk assessment, and compliance monitoring 
  • Agentic AI Integration: Develop and operationalize agentic AI governance models, enabling adherence to ethical, legal, and operational constraints while maintaining human oversight. 
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP): Implement and manage MCP-based solutions for secure, scalable, and context-aware AI model integration and lifecycle management. 
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Partner with cross-functional teams including DevOps engineers, risk, legal, and compliance to embed governance into the AI lifecycle and drive responsible innovation 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education   

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

Minimum Experience  

  • 8+ years of experience in AI governance, observability, data/AI development, or related role.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing AI governance frameworks. 
  • Strong experience with observability platforms and AI governance tools. 
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and modern cloud/data technologies (AWS, Snowflake preferred). 
  • Good working experience developing and integrating AI solutions using AWS Bedrock, including prompt engineering, RAG, and enterprise application integration. 
  • Experience in the financial services or mortgage industry is preferred. 
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. U.S. Fin Tech does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills     

  • Deep understanding of AI governance principles, observability, and monitoring best practices. 
  • Expertise in deploying and managing AI governance tools for policy automation, risk detection, and compliance. 
  • Proficiency in agentic AI, MCP, and scalable AI/data architectures. 
  • Strong knowledge of data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. 
  • Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into actionable governance strategies. 

Pay Range $179,000 to $190,000

U.S. Fin Tech's pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law. U.S. Fin Tech offers a competitive total compensation package, which includes a performance bonus, 401k match, healthcare coverage, PTO, and a broad range of other benefits.
